This listing includes this GS-10 Emmons pedals steel (Serial#: 244GS), case, and dust cover as well as a few spare parts that were in the case when I got it. The pictured tone-bar/slide is not included. This Emmons GS-10 is a great sounding little pedal steel. These were built as student models but turned out to sound great.A previous owner has added a raised fretboard and two knee levers. I have fixed a bunch of stuff on this guitar; a crack the ran the length of the cabinet has been filled and glued.
It is visible from the bottom but completely stable. The original volume and tone knobs were bypassed but I've restored them to working order with the original cap and pots. The setup was pretty awful and the installation of the knee levers was ghetto, but I fixed most of the issues and got it stable and in tune. After I worked on it I left it in a case for 6 months and took it out, tuned it at the tuners and it didn't need any further adjustment. It is free of any major cosmetic or mechanical issues, it only has the usual dings/dirt/scratches that you would.
For something of this age. Keep in mind that this guitar is in the ballpark of 50 years old.
I really love the tone of this guitar and it would make a great first steel or a practice steel for someone who is willing to deal with the occasional headaches of setting up a push-pull Emmons!
