1964 PARIS ALL TUBE GUITAR AMPLIFIER, 1-8 inch Combo Amp with Oaktron speaker, USA

  
PARIS amps are rare indeed, but to find one in this condition is almost impossible! This is a PARIS tube amplifier in Exceptional Condition. My research suggests this amp was made in Salina, KS, USA. I have seen a handful of Solid-State Paris amps, but this is the only tube model I have encountered. It has been serviced, tested and works as it should. No scratchy pots, idles quiet. This lightweight amp is not going to burn the house down but does sound GREAT! With a single coil guitar, the tone is clean until you get past 8 on the volume dial.

It breaks up a bit earlier with a humbucker or P-90, after you get past 6-7 on the volume dial. I have had it serviced and all it needed was the main multi capacitor replaced. Line up: 18GD6A, 60FX5, 36AM3.

Speaker code is 918 425, Oaktron, 25th week of 1964. The original capacitor (included) is also dated 1964, 240 6432.

With a new cap and a spare set of tubes this baby should be ready to go for years. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 4 hours recently and it did not fail, smoke, throw sparks, blow fuses, start on fire, etc. Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet, handles, knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components.

Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. Old electronics can fail at any time. LOOK AT ALL MY LISTINGS!!! You should not have to live with something you are unhappy with for any reason.
