Quickly and easily measure the exact amount of relief (curve) in your neck and take the guesswork out of guitar setup. See exactly how much movement happens when you adjust the truss rod and get the same, measurable results every time. Our Neck Relief Gauge is full length at 15-1/4, for the most accurate measurement possible.

The truss rod typically affects neck curvature from the nut to the 17th fret and this gauge spans that distance perfectly. Shorter gauges only measure part of the curve, giving a lower accuracy and resolution in your measurement. 15-1/4 long to span a guitar neck's full curvature. Works on all guitars, basses and any instrument with a fretboard from 13-1/2" to 30" long.

Probe is centered on gauge for highest accuracy & easy use on left handed instruments. Measures in inches or millimeters. Hold the gauge feet and probe against a straightedge, such as your leveling beam, and press "ZERO". Place the feet of the gauge firmly on the 1st & 17th frets with the probe on the 7th fret. Your relief measurement is displayed on the screen.
