The Gain control adjusts the amount of gain inside the overdrive circuit, going from a subtle tone coloration to a hard-clipped distortion when really cranked. The switch is an entirely new feature that allows users to select between two clipping arrangements based on the circuitry of two different "Big Box" pedals, giving players a whole lot of tones to explore.
