Words that I would normally refrain from using to describe an item, seem to be perfectly applicable here: this is the real deal and an important piece of Music History. This amp was among the first non-prototypes to be manufactured by Orange/Mathew Matthias around July/August of 1969 and with Serial #008, is the 3rd ORANGE OR50 made, after #006 and #007. Serial #'s 001-005 were 100 Watt OR100 heads to the best of my recollection.

Completely original, hand painted chassis, point to point wiring and 1 of only 6 without the Cooper/Matthias badge. It is currently fitted with Mullard EL34's and Mullard ECC83's from a 1969 50W HiWatt, but will include a select pair of Telefunken 12AX7's giving a totally different tonal palette from the preamp section.

Also, I will include a wired Bulgin AC connector and a spare brand new one as well. Cosmetically, the inside is very clean and the Orange tolex is surprisingly nice, considering this amp has been lugged to recording studios and performance venues for almost 50 years all around the world. The photo included doesn't even begin to show the beauty of this amp.

There is a small piece of the Plexi front panel chipped off in the upper left-hand corner, due to an overzealous roadie with a screwdriver. I have dozens of pictures I'll be happy to share with serious members, but since policy has changed here with regard to watermarking photos, (I want to post them with the Orange Museum folks, whether I sell it or not) and I don't want them appropriated by tirekickers and/or unscrupulous grifters and claimed as'theirs' before I get them to Orange. However, if the right individual comes along and this becomes necessary, I can make it happen if you want to pay for it! This item is in the category "Musical Instruments & Gear\Guitars & Basses\Guitar Amplifiers". The seller is "drlarry5767" and is located in this country: US.
